Come join us! Autentika tours offer personal service for small groups to beautiful regions with deep, rich food traditions. Whether you choose from one of our specially curated tours or one we custom design for you, you'll experience a unique, memorable trip.

GROUP TOURS

Our goal is to give guests a truly authentic experience with their surroundings and with local people while sampling the unique foods of their destination. To do this, we limit our tours to a maximum of 12 guests, accompanied by an expert guide who is intimate with the region. You will always have someone available to you during the tour. We strive to combine a full, daily experience with a relaxed attitude, always remembering that our guests are on vacation. When you go home, we want you to say, "I can't decide which day/event/dinner was best because they were all so wonderful."

PRIVATE TOURS

Are you planning a girlfriend's getaway? Family reunion? Sales team celebration? Do you want to visit one of our beautiful destination cities without being part of a group? The solution is a private, customized tour, in which you choose specific locations, experiences, and foods to taste. Call us and we will create a personal itinerary for you or your private group that satisfies your dreams of the perfect food-lovers' tour.

Colonial Mexico's Magical Flavors

Colonial Mexico's Magical Flavors

I had a GREAT time on this tour. I did and ate things I’ve never have before and laughed and relaxed which is exactly what I needed. The activities were fun, the food delicious. I kinda did feel like an explorer. Loved the bakery visit - Pan Dulces were amazing, the Hacienda and horseback riding (first time) was so fun and that shower was to die for!”

Santiago de Querétaro — Cadereyta — San Miguel de Allende

Two cities in central Mexico—Santiago de Querétaro and San Miguel de Allende—are both UNESCO World Heritage Sites that carry national designations as "Pueblos Magicos" (Magical Towns).  Each city possesses natural beauty, cultural riches and historic architecture and strong food and art cultures. In 2010, Mexican cuisine was awarded the UNESCO distinction of "Intangible Cultural Humanity" which honors a cultural treasure worth preserving. The designation was bestowed upon Mexico's cooking traditions because of its elaborate and distinctive preparation methods, traditional ingredients and utensils, and its strong connection between past and the present.

Both Querétaro and San Miguel de Allende are home to sophisticated restaurants that have earned global acclaim for innovative chefs who have taken Mexican cuisine to its next level. But, we'll "get local" too, visiting a family owned organic farm that's also a women's cooperative, and an artisanal, small batch winemaker. We'll then visit Cadereyta, one of the smallest UNESCO designated towns, for a stay at a 300-year-old hacienda that is still a working equestrian farm. In the tranquil countryside, we'll enjoy horseback riding, kayaking and relaxing in an outdoor hot tub fed by natural thermal springs. To learn more about these magical towns filled with Mexico's splendors, see our detailed itinerary below.

The Cuba Experience

"Cada Día Te Quiero Más"
Each Day I Love You More

The Cuba Experience

"Cada Día Te Quiero Más"
Each Day I Love You More

Habana, Valle de Viñales & Outlying Areas

When you join us on this amazing adventure, you’ll feel the same way we do: “Cuba—each day I love you more.” You’ll be lost to Cuba’s charms once you hear that musical Cuban rhythm and feel the unconscious sway of your hips while walking along the seaside Malecón. Once you’ve smelled the perfectly spiced, traditional Cuban criollo food and tasted the Cuban Fusion cuisine we’ve planned, you’ll crave this island’s flavors forever.

Cuba’s people will sweep you off your feet with their generosity, kindness and gregarious natures. But be prepared for juxtaposition: gorgeous Spanish colonial architecture flanked by 1950s big-finned Cadillacs next to crumbling buildings, unpaved roads and a lack of “first-world” services (ie: WiFi everywhere and a Starbucks on every corner). This is a trip for the explorer who is flexible and willing to experience new things at a moment’s notice—because sometimes in the Caribbean plans change.

This is an adventure not a tour. It’s an authentic experience for those who can go with the flow, who can appreciate the country’s idiosyncrasies and who love serendipitous moments. If that’s you, then join us. Step back in time and experience this amazing destination before the 21st century takes hold and alters it forever.

2017 Tour Dates
November 2nd - November 7th
